The Messala is a super advanced Titans mobile armor, and this kit does it justice. It has a surprising amount of “shelf presence.” It’s bigger than a Gaplant, and although as not as tall as a Baund Doc, certainly looks heavier due to its beefy limbs and enormous thrusters. It’s like a Byarlant on steroids. Its undercarriage is nicely sculpted, so you get the feel of very high-tech machinery covered in thick armor plating. It’s a great kit for AoZ kitbashing as well. For example, the thrusters could be combined with a Hazel to make a Kelderek Holst. Another great feature of this kit is the fantastic display stand, which comes with slots and compartments for all the optional parts and accessories. This display stand is fully adjustable, complete with metal screws to make it more robust, and even has adapter parts for use with other model kits.

A little overpriced. Comes with 2 bayonet beam rifles and 3 huge shields. Not sure what to do with them, as there’s no way it could carry all 3 without the arms falling off. I put one of the shields on his back, which looks good. The knees are a little weak, but not as bad as the YujiaoLand ZZ Gundam legs. Overall an awesome upgrade to one of the best mobile suits of all time. The most difficult part of the build is the wings. The instructions are misleading, and the assembly requires a lot of glue and drilling.

This kit is a refreshing change from your average Gunpla kits. It also feels like a more realistic design. A natural progression for Boston Dynamics style quadrupeds with huge tank cannons. Some of the parts are tiny, but the build is still pretty quick. More complex than an HG, but not as many parts as an RG. Also the little scavenger works well as a multipurpose desk accessory (see pics). To top it off, this kit has some of the best female mini pilot figurines available anywhere.

The photos speak for themselves. I love this kit. Mine isn't even that good compared to what is possible with this resin. Yes, it's expensive. Yes, it's a lot of work. Yes, it's worth it.

It's in an MG-sized box - same dimensions as Freedom 2.0, so of course the big boy is more pricey.
